    Hi Stefano!

I can’t have the follow up module working even though I created a cron job on an external server because my provider doesn’t allow it. The URL I entered is “http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-cron.php”  as you said in your documentation. The cron has run twice now but my emails haven’t been sent yet and the cronjob doesn’t return any error.

There is no “define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);” in the wp-config.php file.

    Thanks for any help.

Hi there may some bugs since it it the first porting to version 3.0. Do you have subscriber with the follow up option active?

What interval did you set between followup emails?

    Stefano.

Hi, all my subscribers have the follow up option valid.
The interval is 168 hours (one week).

    Thanks for helping.

    Hi Stefano

Actually some of my subscribers have the follow up option off although it is configured to be on by default.

    And I discovered something else:

In the follow up module configuration panel it writes: Enabled? yes

In the diagnostic panel (semaphores and crons) it writes: Follow up: not active

What does it mean? What’s the difference between enabled and active? How can I make it active?

I pushed the “trigger now” button next to follow up in diagnostic panel and it seems a few emails were sent (maybe only 10). But I think these subscribers had already received this email.

    Thanks for your help!

The diagnostica panel is not fully integrated with follow up, ignore it. The subscribers are not automatically added to the follow up service: old subscriber, before follow up activation won’t be active, you should add them manually.

When the module is disabled it means no follow up email are sent.

    Stefano.

    Hi Stefano

I don’t understand how the follow up module works. It is enabled in the configuration panel and “Add to follow up every new subscriber? is set on “yes“. But, in their profile, some subscribers have the “follow up” flag on “yes” and others on “no” (only confirmed or unsubscribed subscribers if this can help you understand the issue).

And I don’t give my subscribers the possibility to change the setting in their profile page. There’s a mystery here for me…

Anyway, whether the “follow up” flag is on or off, the follow up mails aren’t sent.

I still have the Newsletter 3.1.1 version. Do you think it could help if I upgrade to the 3.1.5?

I hope you can find out what goes wrong and help me find a solution.

    Best regards.

    Michel

Hi, the followup is not fully integrated and maybe there are still bug. I’ll check the code.

    Stefano.
