ParticipantHello there,
I am having a problem with the double opt-in process, as the confirmation mail is not sent. The respective options are set, newsletters go out well and the sending engine is working perfectly, but according to the logs confirmation mails are not sent because “Message body empty”. But the respective text box in settings is, of course ;), not empty.
Any ideas?

KeymasterUhm, message body empty? Where did you see that log? On subscription configuration panel is the confirmation email body correctly set?
Stefano.

ParticipantThank you for getting back to me.
Settings seem to be ok, as new subscribers show up as “not confirmed” and the engine tries to send out the confirmation message but can’t according to the logs in main*.txt in wp-content/logs/newsletter:
28-11-2015 13:27:19 - DEBUG - 22,9 MB - hook_newsletter> End 28-11-2015 13:28:42 - DEBUG - 30,7 MB - Replace start 28-11-2015 13:28:42 - DEBUG - 30,7 MB - Replace end 28-11-2015 13:28:42 - DEBUG - 30,7 MB - mail> To: ****@***********.**** 28-11-2015 13:28:42 - DEBUG - 30,7 MB - mail> Subject: Anmeldebestaetigung: Digitales Wissenswerk Newsletter 28-11-2015 13:28:42 - ERROR - 31,4 MB - mail> Message body empty
(Excerpt from “Send a test” via the backend)
The HTML of the confirmation mail is

Hallo {name},

{subscription_confirm_url}

Wenn du dich nicht selbst zu unserem Newsletter eingetragen hast, kannst du diese Nachricht einfach ignorieren.

Vielen Dank.

Nils

KeymasterUhm, please check the messages template configuration on list building menu, let me know the configurations of that panel. The empty message is almost surely produced by an error on that panel (may be the version change created the problem, but actually blogs where we tested it have not shown that issue).
Stefano.

ParticipantTemplate is enabled, but the template editor field is empty. I see, how that could be a problem… 😉 How do I solve it?

ParticipantI just disabled templating, and now it works. Seems like something changed there when I updated to 4.0.5. Maybe you should check the updating process again…
Thanks for your help!

KeymasterHi I’m looking at it, actually the upgrade process should not empty the template. Eventually there is a reset button to restore the original template.

ParticipantI don’t know whether I had something in there before. Could it be that the update turns on templating by default, even if it was switched off before?

ParticipantHello Stefano,
I am using 4.0.6 on a multisite and have exactly the issue. I tried many solutions but cannot solve it.
(The issue is on the main website).
Could you please kindly check and help?
Thank you.
