    Hi Stefano,

Keeping all the settings same, I observe that for a certain size (with simple textual content) the emails to subscribers go as intended (well, at least the test email did – didn’t try the actual subscribers yet). However, I added an image to the newsletter and then it didn’t go to the test subscriber.

Is there a size related issue which prevents emails from going out ?

Thanks for a great plugin !

    Cheers,
    Avinash

An image can trigger a spam filter. The image is hosted in your website?
Most of the time the filter is on your provider. I had such problem on few installation where removing the image solved the problem… And when discovered I contacted the provider to ask it to tune the spam filter. Let me know!

Thanks Stefano – that helped. I was able to chat with the support and essentially get my SMTP configuration right. Apparently, it wasn’t – though strangely, my all-text emails/newsletters were still going out.

Now since I’ve got my SMTP correct, I experimented with sending out a newsletter containing a (600×400) image. Here’s the interesting part: _some_ of the recipients (mostly gmail accounts) did not receive it.

I think it has to do with the spam filtering, as you explained https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/plugins/newsletter/newsletter-spam . The image _is_ hosted on the same server though.

So the conclusion that I am coming to is this: sending emails/newsletters out with embedded images _is_ risky in that things beyond your control can still silently drop your emails.

Another thing that appears to be affect delivery is whether you have a textual message empty or not. I saw better behaviour with that one filled out.
