    Hi,

Newsletter won’t run automatically. I have tried cpanel cron job, external online cron job but it just doesn’t work. WP Cron seems to work fine. I have some other plugins that use it. However delivery works if I trigger delivery engine by hand for each batch.

This is what I have under diagnostic:

    WordPress Cron System
    ENABLED. (it’s ok)

    Delivery Engine

Oh yes, I use W3 Total Cache if this makes any difference. Changing newsletter configuration sometimes produces 404 page. And after that: The webpage at http://www.mypage.com/wp-admin/ has resulted in too many redirects.

Then I have to delete cookies to reach administration again.

The problem on the admin side is an apache mod_security fault that confuses a cookie with a sql injection. See here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/apache-mod_security-and-newsletter-and-block-access-error.

About the cron: Newsletter register it’s own cron type that should fire every 5 minutes. If that cron is, for any reason, disabled by other plugin it may not work. It happened in the past with some plugin.

Can you send me the list of plugin you’re using?

Try to install the plugin wp control plugin which lists the scheduled task and the available shedulers.

Another small thing: you should force an upgrade if you’re testing the cron, since newsletter install it only on activation. You can force an upgrade from the diagnostic panel or deactivating and reactivating it.

Hi, can you write me at stefano@satollo.net? I’ll send you an updated diagnostic panel that will display the installed schedules.

    Stefano.
