Hello

I have customized the “Introduction” field of the Newsletter widget to Spanish, English and French. I wrote down into the field the following:
<!–:en–>Sign up for our latest news and offers<!–:–>

<!–:es–>Apúntate a nuestra Newsletter<!–:–>
<!–:fr–>Abonne à notre Newsletter<!–:–>

And it works. If my WordPress runs in French, the message is the second one, etc.

So, I’d like to do the same for the Error Page Content, Confirmation Required Message and so on, of the Newsletter subscription. I used the same tags, but it does not work. I am using the “qTranslate” widget for WordPress.

Thanks in advance for your help

Mike

Hi, actually there is no support for this kind of syntax. Are you using qtranslate? Or wpml?

Stefano.

Ok, actually there is no support of qtranslate (or other multilanguage plugins), sorry.

Hi Stefano,
I am experiencing the same issue. I have a multi-lingual site (German and English) and have been able to, using qtranslate, have a multi-lingual page with the newsletter subscription, but the qtranslate codes do not work for the emails or the confirmation texts automatically appended to the subscription page.
Also, the place where you define what the URL is to the subscription page (i.e. site.domain/newsletter) does not allow for URL translation based upon the current language (i.e. site.domain/de/newsletter or site.domain/en/newsletter).
Do you have any plans to support qtranslate?
If not, do you have anything against me trying to modify your plugin to support qtranslate?
Thanks,
Kristian.

Hi I don’t know how qtranslate works so I don’t know how complicated could be to add qtranslate support. I think a call to qtraslate should be made before “use” every message.

Stefano.
