we are having some css problem with Outlook using our custom template.

Your own templates have been tested with Outlook? Could we use it as a sort of framework to secure a full compatibility with all the different e-mail client?

There are tons of tips (and not always easy to follow) about client compatibility. You can usid an email testing service like email on acid which gives you feedback on how your email is shown on different clients.
