I chose to use a separate confirmation page instead of the message appearing in the place of the form. However, the subscriber is redirected to the URL but there isn’t a confirmation message. Is there a short code or something I must add into the page for it to work? What must I do to get the message to appear?

I’m having the same problem. Is there any shortcode to add?

I think I have the same issue as well.

What I found out, is that there is difference when I test this function as admin logged in. Then it works and the page is appearing correctly.

    Do you use Elegant Themes?

    Cheers

Had the same problem as well.

    My solution or error was:

The newsletter page in WordPress was marked as “private”

Setting it to published solved the problem.

I ended up to use newsletter plugin dedicated pages (not newsletter page on wordpress) because they have the advantage to focus the user on the confirmation process. That way I avoid distractions wit sidebars, etc..
