    very odd issue..
    i uploaded my list manually and
    – all tests of the system work.. with default sending and smtp auth..
    – newsletters are received by all subscribers
    – i can resend a ‘welcome’ email to a user awaiting confirmation
    however.. when i activated the form on the site and a user first registers, they are not receiving the confirmation email and i am having to confirm them myself.

    any thoughts on how to resolve this?

    Anyway try to change the confirmation email text and subject removing the “subscription” word.
