I tried using my own email address to test out signing up an email, but the “please confirm your subscription” email isn’t being sent. (I’ve checked the Spam folder.)

When I send test emails from the Diagnostic page, one email receives all 3 Newsletter tests okay, another email only receives 1 or 2.

The Sender Email Address I’m using has my website address in it (support@sitename.com), but it’s just a forwarding email address from my domain host.

Is that the problem? If so, why would the test emails go through okay?

    Thank you for your help!

Hi, if you own address correspond to the one of the sender (even if it’s a forward), may be the mail system is blocking it. Can you ask a friend to try out the subscription?

    Hi, thanks for the response.

I tried with both an email that wasn’t connected (my personal gmail account) and with the gmail account that controls the forwarded email address. My personal account receives all 3 tests okay. The one linked to the sender address receives only 1-2.

But my personal account still isn’t getting the subscription confirmation emails when I test subscribe.

Hi, can you send me the blog address so I can try out a subscription. Which provider are you using?

I tried to subscribe an I did not received emails. You should ask the provider about that because is not good. Ask them is they have limits on the number of email you blog can send, or if you need to use an SMTP (ask them the SMTP parameters as well).

    Stefano.

I checked out my domain provider’s info about SMTP settings and changed my gmail “additional account” SMTP settings and added that SMTP info to the Configuration section of the plugin and that fixed it.

    Thank you for your help!

    I’m facing the same issue.
Using SMTP configuration doesn’t solved the problem. I’m getting a connection refused message.
My email server is Goddady and I use the SMTP on gmail and it works nice.

The Test on Diagnostic page works fine.

On godaddy you can ONLY use the godaddy SMTP, search on my site.
