ParticipantIt appears that something strange is going on. I’ve got 499 subscribers in my newsletter database and I can’t add any more. When I add new people nothing happens. Any idea where to look? I’ve go a bunch of people to add before I send out my next email blast which is supposed to go out today and I just noticed this problem.

KeymasterHave you updated the plugin manually? Try to deactivate and reactivate.
Stefano.

ParticipantStefano, When I released I was having the problem yesterday I upgraded to the latest version via your site and I’ve deactivated and reactivated but I’m still having the same problem.

KeymasterHi, does your provider provides the error.log of apache?
Stefano.

ParticipantThey don’t as the site is being hosted on a Windows server in IIS. Are there any Windows logs that I can request that would make troubleshooting easier?

ParticipantI think he needs to upgrade his hosting account.
At 1and1.com I know that if my database gets to big they told me I have to upgrade

ParticipantI have plenty of space. My hosting account at GoDaddy has 150 Gigs of storage. My database is currently 8.2 Megs in size. I can manually insert rows into other tables, and everything else that adds rows into the table is working just fine.

KeymasterHi,
not inserting users usually means the database tables has not been updated. That can be a database user permission, but I really need an administration account to check the problem. On IIS I don’t know where the error logs are. What is needed are the PHP error logs.
Stefano.

ParticipantApparently the PHP logs aren’t available on the Windows accounts at GoDaddy. I’m in the process of converting the account over to a Linux account as there’s really no reason for it to be a Windows account as I’m not doing any ASP scripting on it. Once it has switched over I’ll duplicate the problem and get the PHP logs from the hosting company.
Thanks for your assistance.

ParticipantOK, I’ve gotten the site switched over to a Linux server, and the below is what comes from the php log that I have access to. I turned on logging then attempted to import a bunch of people. I didn’t get any output. I’ve got the logging set to debug, and I still don’t get any useful output. If I knew the MySQL code required to create a hash for each user, I’d simply add the rows to the database manually, but I assume that hash is created in PHP?

KeymasterHi, on that error lot there is nothing related to newsletter, I excepted a database error at least. But when you save, the user data reappear? Or you got blank page?
Try to deactivate and reactivate the plugin and suddenly get a look to the error logs.
If you grant me an admin access, I can track to error modifying the plugin files, if you want. (even on a cloned environment)
Stefano.

ParticipantI’ve set you up with admin rights to my WordPress site (mrdenny.com). You should be getting an email with login info.
As to your questions, when I try and add people it takes be back to the import screen, with the lists still selected, but the import field blank. I’ve tried both IE10 and FireFox with the same result.
Thanks again.

KeymasterHi,
I logged in, went to subscribers panel, added myself with success. So the database tables seem to be ok. I can see that because the id is assigned.
On search panel, pressing the search button, with my name as filter I was listed and the number of subscribers increased too.
Can you explain me your steps that bring to the wrong result?
Stefano.

ParticipantSorry, I thought I had said that somewhere in here. I have been using the Import/Export panel to add users in bulk.

KeymasterHi,
I manually wrote a couple of address on import text area and the new subscribers are now listed. Can you send me an example of user list you’re trying to import?
Stefano.

ParticipantStrange. I’ve tried using the import/export to add myself as well as various people from this list that I’ve got. When I’m just trying to add myself I’m adding myself to list 10 (which doesn’t have a name at the moment) and I’m using the string mrdenny@mrdenny.com;Denny;Cherry.

ParticipantStefano,
As a further test I’ve tried using both IE 10 (on Windows 8) as well as FireFox and neither is working. If you can provide a MySQL function to use to generate the hashes I’m quite happy to stick the records into the table manually until we can get this issue resolved.
