    hi there,

i wonder, is there a possibility to give subscribers a alternate HTML version (just a .html URL) in case the newsletter is not displayed correctly? i saw that in some other newsletter i received.

Use the {email_url} on your newsletter and it will be a link to the same newsletter but viewable in a browser.

i just tried to test it, but in my testmail it displays only the tag itself, not the URL of the newsletter…

    Hi Stefano,

horray, now it works and looks fine! Thank you.
I just have a last question. The {email_url} appears on the HTML version, too.
But if someone clicks it, there’s an error. Can i turn that link off or make it somehow disappear?

That link can be added or removed with the editor. In the case of feed by mail or it is cistomizable within the theme options or a custom theme must be made (it depends on the theme).

It should not give errors anyway, what kind of error?

    Stefano.

Uhm, probably is a replacement error, it should lead to the same page anyway… I’ll check it.

    Hi Stefano,

is it possible to remove the first line in the HTML view on top of the page?
(“Wenn dieser Newsletter nicht richtig angezeigt wird, klicken Sie bitte hier”)

    here is the link again:

It doesn’t really make sense, because the visitor obviously is on the website…? and sorry for my bad english 😉

No, because the text of the newsletter is shown as is, and I don’t know where this text is.

The solution can be to surround that text with a div with spacial class so I can hide from the web view. I’ll try to add it automatically.

Wow, I had no idea that the {email_url} is included! Honestly, I think that deserves more prominent mention in the documentation, perhaps inline on the message editor page / tab. Thanks Stefano, that is a great feature!
