    Just installed news letter. Added the widget to the sidebar and when I try to subscribe I just a blank page with the message

    Database error.

    The log shows the following error

    25-11-2015 20:36:53 – FATAL – 8.2 MB – Unknown column ‘referrer’ in ‘field list’

    Please help.

    Just to let you know, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plug in and still get the same error

    OK, I solved the error. In my case the issue was that my database user did not not have alter table permissions.

    It looks like the module creates the tables, then subsequently alters the tables to add new fields.
